Please contact us if your question is not anwsered by these FAQs.  We would be most grateful to answer any question you may have with regards to our services.

In a nutshell, we require both a signed Agreement and a $300 retainer to book your date. Once your date has been decided, please contact us as soon as possible to book our services.

It depends on the event and the amount of work involved.  For some stage performances, generally no Agreement is required.  For corporate work, Agreements are always required.  Contact us for your particular event and we will advise you if an Agreement and or retainer/deposit is required.

Absolutely not!  You are free to customize your filming and post-production editing to your desire.  With weddings, we do have creative control of the final edit, but we welcome you input prior to the shoot.

No! As part of the Agreement, we have creative control and copyright over the footage, but you the client will have the opportunity to convey to us if you wish to have images or video to be displayed publicly on the internet.  We use our videos as a means of advertising our services and many clients also enjoy sharing their clips with family and friends.  However, some clients prefer to keep their events private and intimate and we will ALWAYS honour their wishes.

Of course!  We have been in business for more than 15 years and we use a professional Sony 4K camera as our main video cam.  We also use pro audio equipment to capture crystal clear audio for your vows and the speeches.  Then we use pro editing software (Sony Vegas Pro) in post production to complete the project and deliver it in the media of your choice (DVD/Bluray/USB device).

Nope!  OMV is a part time business.  We run OMV on weekends and during the evening as we have full time day jobs.  So if you have an event during the weekday, ample lead time is required for us to make arrangements to take leave from our day jobs (if possible).  We recommend at least a few weeks notice for any special job and a year ahead for weddings! 🙂

Yes.  We currently only accept weddings and events within about 150 Kms from our home studio near Yarmouth, NS.  So this essentially means leaving from Yarmouth, we’ll go as far as Annapolis Royal up the valley way and up to White Point Beach up the south shore way.

Yes, we transfer various tape formats to DVD or to a USB stick.  We need to play the tapes in order to record them so the time it takes will depend on the amount of footage you have on the tapes. We have done projects of 25 tapes within a couple of weeks in the past.

Please note that old tapes can be very dirty if they were not stored properly or if they were stored in an attic (very hot and very cold).  We have had many successful transfers but we do have the odd tape that will be too dirty to play.
